Parochial Report Preparation Workshop (Spring 2011)
While the filing of the annual parochial report is a canonical requirement, it can also be a wonderful tool for assessing a congregation's financial health. Past attendees of this popular annual workshop have marveled at the possibilities. Designed for individuals responsible for preparation of these reports, the workshop also benefits clergy and lay leadership alike. Line-by-line instruction will be provided for the Membership, Attendance, Services, stewardship and Financial Information sections using the workbooks issued by the General Convention Office. Web-based graphing tools for data analysis as well electronic filing will also be covered. Attendees are encouraged to bring copies of the parochial report and workbooks which can be downloaded at http://generalconvention.org/gc/parochial_reports and, if possible, to review the workbooks prior to attending. A choice of two workshops is offered for your convenience.
