PROGRAM OF STUDIES FOR THE DIACONATE

PROGRAM OF STUDIES FOR THE PRIESTHOOD

Each of these programs is designed to encourage theological learning amongst all of the people in the Church and, most especially, to train and empower men and women for the various ministries that help us strengthen the church. In specific instances, an educational program will be designed to meet the interests and needs of the individual student.

For those seeking entry into the Program of Studies for the Diaconate or Priesthood, prior permission from the Diocesan Commission of Ministry – Ordination Process Subcommittee and the Bishop of Long Island are required. For those interested in this course of studies from other denominations, permission of your local judicatory is required.

Certification in the various programs requires the satisfactory completion of the courses required and the recommendation of the Director to the Board of Trustee of the Mercer School of Theology.
